More About Departure Areas:

  • Washington DC has its own departure area.

  • California Notice: If you want alerts for all airports in California, only choose California as choosing Southern California Departures or Northern California Departures + also choosing California will lead to duplicate emails.

  • New York & New Jersey: Newark International Airport (EWR) is a primary airport many New Yorkers use. However, we have members in New Jersey who only wish to receive alerts from Airports in New Jersey. If a member only has New York departures selected, they will not receive the alerts for Newark. Newark Airport is a major hub that has amazing deals. If you want to get all the best deals out of Newark as well, be sure to have "New Jersey Departures" selected as well in your departure area settings.

  • You will be able to update those settings below if you like.

Many alerts we send may be available from more than one departure area. So if you get an email that appears to be a duplicate, it's because more than 1 of your departure areas was alerted for the same destination.

Tip: Get The Most Out Of The Membership

Let's say we have a member we'll call "Dave". Dave lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, of which Milwaukee has an International Airport that receives many alerts itself.

However, Dave knowing Chicago O'hare is a Large International Hub and it being 1.5hr from Daves home, he also has "Illinois" selected as a departure area in order to receive all the alerts that depart from Chicago's O'hare Airport.

Major international hubs get the 3x the number of alerts and destinations due to the amount of flights they have compared to smaller regional and international airports. A hub is an airport that serve as the airport to route connecting flights. We have included a list of hubs below for each of the 3 largest US airlines if you are unsure if an airline is a hub or not.

However, if you are no where near a hub, that is perfectly fine as we send alerts for all airports that service major US Airline Carriers.

Airports that act as a hub receive the largest number of alerts due to the sheer number of daily flights and airlines that service these airports. If you want to see the hubs in the US, tap the box below to expand it.

Major International Airport Hubs

  • Denver – Denver International Airport (DEN)
  • Houston – George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

Understanding Our Alerts

If you just signed up, and haven't been familiar with our alerts already, we want to give you a bit of information about the things we discuss or include in our alerts, so that when you see them you will have an understanding of what they mean, and how to read the information we provide in an alert.

Below is an alert card, and you will see a card like this when you get an alert. Let's take a look at it and talk about what's in it.

Depart: Dallas (DFW)

  • Destination: Castries (UVF)
  • Airline(s): American, United, Delta
  • Available Dates: SEP-DEC 2024; JAN-FEB; APR 2025
  • Price: $265
  • Price may last 1-2 days
View On Google Flights
  • Departure Airport: (Self Explanatory)
  • Available Dates:
In this example it says SEP-DEC 2024; JAN-FEB; APR 2025.

This means that that the alerted price can be found at least 1 time or more times in each of the months of September, October, November, December 2024, and January, February, and April 2025
  • Airline(s):
These are the airlines that have flights available at the alerted price, at least 1 or more times within the date range alerted.

    Important:
Even though more than 1 airline may be mentioned in the alert and available within the date range mentioned, they may or may not be available on the exact same date. We include a link directly to the alert with dates and info already plugged in so that you can easily view the deal without needing to input any info, but the link will not always show that deal for all the airlines mentioned.

    Example: If it says....

    Airlines: American & Delta
    Dates: FEB-APR 2025

When clicking the "View on Google Flights" button that we provide, it will show you a flight deal with one of the mentioned airlines at the alerted price.

However, lets say in this example you were to click "View On Google Flight" and it shows Delta at the alerted price, but American is showing a drastically higher price. This simply means, that the alerted price for American is available on a different date, although still within the date range mentioned in the alert.

You can find what dates your preferred carrier mentioned in an alert has the alerted price available by using the "Airline Filter" on Google Flights.

Prior to searching for prices and dates, go to the airline filter and select the airline alliance to which your preferred carrier belongs to.

Now when you click the calendar on Google Flights, all the prices that are now displayed for each day of the year, will only be for airlines in that alliance, allowing you to easily find all the dates.

When using the airline filter, be sure to choose the alliance rather than the airline due to partnerships and codeshare that can sometimes cause flights to vanish if you only choose the airline.

This may sound complicated, but its really simple and you will catch on as you get more familiar with using Google Flights and seeing our alerts.

In the event we linked to a different website as we many times will do, it's always best when wanting to know all the possible dates available to use Google Flights as a tool, due to simply being able to click on the calendar and see all the cheapest dates form a birds eye view without needing to do a bunch of searching.

Doing this will allow you to locate all the dates within 1-2 minutes instead of spending hours fighting with an unfriendly website like Expedia, Priceline etc that does not show you all the prices for each day by simply clicking on the calendar.
  • Price May Last Duration:
This is just our best guess as to how long we think the deal will last. However, just know that they can change anytime or last longer than what we estimate. Airline flash sales always last between 1 to 6 days and mistake fares can change within minutes, hours, or last most of the day.

If Booking A Mistake Fare

When booking a mistake fare, it’s crucial to hold off on making any non-refundable travel arrangements for at least 48 hours. Typically, airlines notify travelers within this period if they choose not to honor such fares. Although rare, with about 90% of mistake fares being honored, we still say hold off on booking hotels etc. for 48 hours.

Airlines generally only refuse these fares under extreme circumstances, as they can typically catch these mistakes within 1-24 hours of them being discovered and therefore it limits the number of travelers that were able to get booked, and they just decide to take a small hit as they don't have the resources to have customer service trying to chase down the people who did get it booked, so thankfully for us it's easier for them to just honor them and move on.

Never contact the airline to confirm the legitimacy of an abnormally low fare.

Assume everything is in order unless you hear otherwise from the airline. You have a 0% chance of showing up for a flight and them not honoring it. If it's been 2 days and you can view your flight online or in their app, it's safe to say you are in the clear. Contacting them is just asking for them to not honor the deal you booked. Just know that if they are not going to honor it, they will never wait for you to arrive to the airport weeks or months later to deliver bad news. It will always happen via email and phone within the following 24-48 hours of booking.

Ensure Alerts Arrive To Your Inbox

Email service providers like Google, Yahoo etc. have recently informed businesses that they will be making changes to try and get rid of the major problem that is email spam.

Due to our alerts being time sensitive, these changes had us worried as we don't ever want an alert arrive to you late by going in the promotions tab or even worst the spam folder.

Thankfully, they told us that customers who save our email address alerts@jetsetteralerts.com in their email contacts would prevent any changes they make accidently causing any hiccups, as this signals to email service providers that "I know this person, and emails from them are important".

Thanks again for being a platinum member. You can leave the heavy lifting from here up to us and wait for alerts to arrive to your inbox
