Miami is very beautiful, and it does have an incredible beach. It's not my #1 simply because my idea of a beach vacation doesn't have a massive city in the background. So why is Miami Beach the most visited beach destination in the world?

Well....Miami's history + Hollywood = #1 On This List

Due to the fact that the United States is the #1 vacation destination in the world, naturally when foreign tourist come to America, they have to see this city that was built on Cocaine profits that lead to some of Hollywood's most successful movies EVER!

As American's we easily forget Miami's drug trafficking history that lead to movies like Scarface, Jonny Depp's Blow, documentaries like Cocaine Cowboys 1 and Cocaine Cowboys 2, the old TV series Miami Vice, and even the video game Grand Theft Auto Vice City.

It sounds crazy, but people all around the world want to see a city that's entire skyline was built by the profits of the cocaine trade in the 1980's and the city that so many of Hollywood's most successful movies was based on.
